How should parents aware on raising their children?

As a holocaust victim Anne Frank knew the importance of parents on raising their children. Although parents may not able to determine their children’s future or success, they can create a firm environment to raise their children in a worthy way as real parents. Parents have to be aware of the task of raising their own children.

1. Creating a loving home environment

In a family, there might be a lot of misunderstandings that collapse the loving home environment. It may lead to the separation of the parents. Definitely, this chaos and discomfort will affect the children’s growth emotionally and even physically. If the parents want to be real parents they can avoid this extreme confusion and disorder in the family. As real parents, they should be ready to create a loving home environment.

2. Seeing them what they are

Parents are longing for their children’s future successful life. However, like real parents, the parents should be ready to see their children who they are. The parents might have failed in their goal. Hence, they may try to achieve their goal or wish through children. This is altimetry wrong approach in raising children. 

Many parents compare their own children with neighbours’ children. The parents must be ready to know and see their children’s ability. Moreover, they have to guide them to develop their abilities.

3. Correcting them instead of blaming

As psychologists say that the hereditary may not be changeable, but the environment can change a person. When the children get positive stimulation from the environment they will grow in a positive way. 

Generally, children create misbehaviour problems when they were not met the emotional needs. As real parents, parents have the responsibility to correct them instead of blaming them. The correction measures can be done without harming them physically and mentally.

4. Being a role model

This is the most important area the parents should be aware of. Being a role model is not a very simple task. However, the role model of parents is vital in raising children as they are imitating the role model. There was a father who had two children. The elder boy was 8 years old and the younger was 6 years old. Although the parents advised the elder boy not to harm his younger one, the elder had slapped his younger brother. Seeing this, the father angrily slapped the elder and asked, “Didn’t I advise not to harm younger ones?” Then the elder replied, “Dad, I am younger than you, why did you harm me?” The father felt ashamed and corrected himself thereafter. 

So, real parents should be role models for their loved ones (their children).
